Loach Back Lion Head Wenwan Walnut

Loach Back is a popular modern lion-head walnut, named for its smooth, rounded, arched profile resembling a loach's back. It is a dwarf-stem, nearly spherical variety with a small, tucked "men jian" (closed apex). The ridges are thick and smoothly rounded, blending seamlessly into a plump, bulging belly. The surface features fine, shallow python-skin patterns, and it typically has a flat, wide "lotus-leaf base". Renowned for its exceedingly smooth, comfortable hand feel, it has good density, a solid weight, and a rich, oily texture that colors quickly to a vibrant, translucent red with consistent handling.
