The Ground Buried Wenwan Walnut is created using a traditional controlled earth-curing process inspired by historic Wenwan practices. Instead of developing underground naturally over many years, freshly harvested walnuts are carefully buried in a controlled mixture of soil and decomposed green walnut husks, allowing natural plant pigments to gradually enrich the shell with deep brown and black tones. This is a purely physical aging technique that preserves the walnut's original structure without artificial dyes or chemical coloring.

Throughout the curing process, the walnut retains its natural density, abundant oils, and clear surface texture. The shell remains smooth to the touch while preserving its layered grain, making it comfortable to handle and easy to brush during everyday maintenance.

With regular brushing and handling, the darkened shell gradually develops a rich burgundy-red patina before maturing into a deep agate-red, glass-like finish.
