Longmen Jian is a rare, high-end wenwan walnut originating from the remote mountains of Mentougou, Beijing. It features a distinctive natural triangular shape with a short, stout body and a full, rounded belly, topped with a long, blunt point. The surface is covered with delicate coral-like grain and water ripple textures—moderately deep, non-irritating, and easy to clean. Its most iconic trait is the deep, crater-like concave base (meteorite pit bottom) edged with dragon-claw patterns, making it instantly recognizable. Crafted from premium oil-wax crystal skin, it boasts a ginger-yellow base color, high density, and rich natural oiliness. With consistent play, it matures gradually from light yellow to orange-red, finally developing into a glossy agate red patina with a jade-like, translucent finish.
