Nanjiang Stone Lion Head Wenwan Walnut
Nanjiang Stone is a legendary and highly prized Lion Head walnut, renowned for its extreme density and stone-like hardness. It typically features a tall, sturdy, triangular or bullet-shaped stature with distinct sloped shoulders. The defining hallmarks are a signature cross-shaped apex, exceptionally thick and broad ridges, a deeply concave base, and a small, distinctive diamond-shaped navel. Its grain is deep, intricate, and dense, often described as "ant pattern" or fine, flowing water-like lines, with a textured, matte finish. The skin is predominantly a warm ginger-yellow wax texture, possessing incredibly high oil content locked within its dense structure. It is famously heavy and solid in hand, producing a clear, metallic ring when tapped. A true "test of patience," it colors extremely slowly, often taking years to achieve its coveted deep, translucent, glassy Oxford red patina with profound jade-like crystallization.
