It typically features a medium-high, triangular profile with a prominent, sharp large tip, thick wide edges, and a distinct concave base. The entire surface is covered in countless small, raised, bead-like bumps (stars), evenly distributed across deep, thick main veins. It possesses a dense, heavy structure with a solid, sinking feel and a characteristic golden-yellow waxy skin. Though initial handling may feel slightly coarse, it smooths beautifully with play, developing a rich, translucent date-red to deep oxblood patina where the raised "stars" glow brilliantly against the darker grooves.
