A classic vintage walnut strain first discovered in Pinggu, Beijing, later grafted and cultivated in Xinglong and Xingtai, Hebei Province. It gains its name as its two lateral sides turn glossy and rounded after long-term hand rolling, resembling bulging toad eyes.

The walnut features a neat rounded overall shape, upright tip and stable base, paired with meteor crater-like shallow compact grain that is smooth with no sharp burrs and effortless to brush and maintain. Its iconic four-hole bottom is flat and regular, allowing steady upright placement.

Famous for signature plastic-like waxy cortex with extremely strong inherent waxiness and silky hand feel that grows smoother the more it is played. It owns ultra-high shell density and prominent weight in palm, emitting crisp tapping sound when struck together. It oxidizes evenly and rapidly during daily handling, gradually shifting from raw beige skin to deep crimson red, finally forming thick translucent glass jade patina without muddy discoloration.

This variety tends to grow lopsided naturally, making perfectly symmetrical matched pairs extremely scarce and high-priced among niche wenwan collectibles. It is widely recognized as the predecessor strain of General Shoulder walnut, bearing important heritage value in walnut lineage evolution.
